Baglioni Hyde Park Hotel
The project architects had designed a small hotel of 65 keys by combining two buildings dating from the late nineteenth century at the prestigious address of 60 Hyde Park Gate in front of Kensington Palace.
The contribution of AFFINE DESIGN was to confer to this hotel the character of an exclusive Boutique Hotel, contemporary and very luxurious.
The style of decoration makes use of the spirit of the London apartments typical to Kensington, with its small gas fireplaces in each room, but also numerous references to Italian luxury : walls covered with gold leaf, matte bronze guéridons, Italian designer furniture. The ground floor has been designed as a fluid and flexible space without a solid partition, but provided with a well identified and separate reception for hotel guests . The basement has retained the character of the English court with its vertical planting; this court, onto which the bar opens, has been converted into a protected and intimate terrace.
